Healthy-ish Chocolate Chip Cookies
Serves 2045 mins prep18 mins cook
On Fridays, I practice balance! Everything in moderation, right? ( I like to let go a little of perfectionism when it comes to eating clean and allow myself to indulge a little). That said, I'm bringing you a healthy-ish chocolate chip cookie you want around this weekend!
0 servings
What you need

cup brown sugar

cup chocolate

tbsp vanilla extract

cup all purpose flour

tsp baking soda

cup coconut sugar
egg

egg yolk

tsp fine sea salt
Instructions
Melt the butter over medium heat and continuously stir until the butter makes foam and turns a golden brown. (Take it off the heat as soon as the butter turns brown). Combine the cooled brown butter, brown sugar, and coconut sugar in a large mixing bowl. Next, add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract. Mix well. In a smaller bowl, mix the flour, salt, and baking soda. Mix half the dry ingredients into the wet until everything comes together. Add in the remaining flour little by little. Fold in the chocolate, and don't over mix. Refrigerate the cookie dough for 30 minutes. In the meantime, preheat the oven to 350°F and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. When ready, use a 1-ounce cookie scoop to scoop the cookie dough into balls; allow 2 inches of space between them. Bake for 18 minutes or until golden brown. Allow cooling and enjoy!View original recipe
